24/7 Opens Centre In Hyderabad

Customer, engaged in voice-based inbound/outbound support and e-mail-based
customer support services, launched its 300-seat single-shift contact
centre in Hyderabad on Wednesday. The centre was inaugurated by
Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu.
Set up with an initial investment of $2 million,
the new facility would be further expanded to 2,000 seats (on a
three-shift basis) in the next 12-18 months depending on customer
demand. The company has proposed an additional $6 million investment
for the expansion.
Company co-founder & CEO, PV Kannan, said
in the first phase the company will have a 300-seat capacity (by
December). This would be increased later. Of the 300 seats, 60 professionals
have already been recruited and the balance would be filled before
December this year.
The Hyderabad centre will take care of an existing
major insurance client from the UK. The Bangalore centre is already
servicing the UK client and the overflow will be given to Hyderabad
centre.
The promoters had brought in $10 million
funds in the first round. The company currently has 10 Fortune 500
customers and six small customers on its client list.
